The village of Tvoršovice (originally Tvořešovice) was first mentioned and documented in 1380, when the local Vladyka Ješek of Tvoršovice appeared in the records. Knights of Tvoršovice appeared at the fortress until the 15th century. After that, a number of owners changed the fortress. In 1664 Jan Jiří Radecký of Radec bought the fortress and the estate and the Lords of Radec, the family of the famous Austrian marshal from the Napoleonic Wars - Jan Josef Václav Radecký, owned the estate until 1765, when Václav Leopold sold it. The Baroque chateau was built after 1701 by Petr Radecký of Radec. Later, perhaps with the participation of I. V. Ullmann, the chateau was rebuilt in Neo-Renaissance style, including the farmyard and a park of natural and landscape value. The last private owner of the chateau was Cyril Barton - Dobenín (a knight from Nové Město nad Metují), who inherited it in 1947. A year later the chateau was nationalized and returned to his family in the 1990s. At present, the chateau is owned by Golf Konopiště a.s., which has been managing the chateau since 1997 and has been gradually renovating the entire chateau grounds. The chateau now houses a restaurant and a hotel, and the courtyard is also used commercially for the operation of the golf course.
